Born Dec. 13, 1892, Mr. Tom B. Bess, 93, died Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in River Park Hospital. The Route 6 resident was a retired blacksmith, a farmer, and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Bess was a son of Allison and Josie Boyd Bess. Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Hallie Panter Bess, and a son Eugene Bess both of Rt. 6, McMinnville. Also surviving are two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral services is scheduled Wednesday in High’s Chapel with Ken Dodd and Ray Holder to officiate. Burial is to follow in Hills Creek Cemetery at 3 p.m.
