BELL, May Mullican – (d. 1939)
In Memoriam
In Loving memory of Mrs. May Bell, who departed this life Jan. 17, 1939. She leaves a husband and infant son, also a father and mother; a sister and a host of friends to mourn her death, but our loss is Heaven’s gain. We just can’t understand who such a sweet young life should be taken. We know we should not question God for He is too good to do a wrong and too wise to make a mistake but we know May was a good girl and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed in her home and at her work. She graduated from McMinnville School in the year 1931 and was married to Elbert Bell in 1932. We would say to the family and friends, “weep not as those who have no hope”.
May’s gone but not forgotten
From this world of sorrow here
Where the sky is always clear.
Yes darling, you have left us
With our hearts so sad and lone
But Jesus had a place awaiting
Just a mansion, just a home.
And one day we hope to meet you
On that bright, celestial shore
For we know you will be waiting
Where we will never part no more.
Darling how we miss you
And our hearts are filled with pain
But we think of John 3:16
Then we know we can meet again.
MRS. C.D. SHELTON.
