Grundy Logger Dies Suddenly
Fred Argo, 64-year-old Grundy county lumberman, died unexpectedly while at work in the Northcutt’s Cove section Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Hebron Church of Christ. J.R. Bailey officiated and burial was in Hebron cemetery. Mr. Argo, a Grundy county native, was born July 14, 1888. He was a son of Joseph Argo and Linnie Hobbs Argo and he was unmarried. At he time of his death, Mr. Argo was engaged in timber cutting for the Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include four brothers, Frank, Howard and Horace Argo, McMinnville, and Tom Argo, Morrison; one sister, Mrs. Amos Fults, McMinnville. Arrangements were by High Funeral Home.
