This relativecould be on my paternal grandfather's side of the
family, Hendren, oron my paternal grandmother's side, Beloate. They
would have residedin Shelby, Tipton, or Dyer counties, most likely.
My grandfather'sname was Paul Vester Hendren. He died in Memphis in
1963 at 63 or 64years of age. My grandmother's name was Janie
Gertrude BeloateHendren and she died in approximately 1982 in her

John G. McBRIDE shot his brother-in-law, EphriamEvander McNAIR, 3
times with a revolver and killed him, John thenshot twice at his wife
and missed. I would love to find out if therewas an article written

my Burlison relations(Ripley Co., MO) came from Tipton Co. They show
up in MO between 1815and 1850, with a number of them being born in
Tennessee between theyears 1800-1840. I'm missing information on one
generation. I believethe name to be Joseph Burlison, with at least a
son William (b c1840) and daughter Elizabeth (b c 1835), all born in
TN. Supposedlysome of the Burlisons came from around Burlison town in

My mother was Minne Catherine CHAPMAN, born in Alamo Jan 3 1912.She
graduated from Byers Hall High School in Covington in 1929. Her
parents, Benjamin and Minnie CHAPMAN lived next door, in Covington,
to a Wanda BOYD and her son Dr James BOYD. His former wife was Mary
Catherine GIVINS (or GIVENS), who later married a SPURRIER in SC,
and the last heard from was a secretary at the college, High Point
NC.She was my mother's best friend for many years. ANYONE knowing
