Appeared in the “Dayton Leader” dated November 23, 1894:
A Sorrowful Home, Death of Miss Ella Howard, after an illness of a few days
On Wednesday Miss Ella Howard, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Howard, who live north of Dayton, took a last farewell of earth. The deceased was but thirteen years of age and had been ill but a few days, suffering from inflammatory rheumatism, when the death angel summoned her to the tomb.
Miss Ella was a most estimable young girl and gave every promise of a noble, christian womanhood. During her brief life she evineed her fidelity to those principles of salvation inculcated into her young mind by her christian parents, and she has only gone before to welcome her loved ones “in the sweet bye and bye.”
The funeral took place yesterday, Rev. G. W. Brewer conducted the services, after which all that was mortal of a sweet young life and beloved daughter was consigned to the tomb in Buttram Cemetery.
