My 3rd G Grandfather, William Kelly, was
awarded a 440 Land Grant from the state of TN, Perry County in 1846.
He was in the war of 1812 but I'm not sure of reason for the Land Grant
(TN No. 28525).
Cost was 12.5 Cents per acre ($55.00). That was nearly two years worth of
his father's (James Kelly S1544 Pension Application) Revolutionary war
pension ($30.00/Ann)
