WILSON, William M.
From the Franklin Review.
FATAL AFFRAY.
We are sorry to learn that an affray took place a short time since in Obion County, in which William M. Wilson, Esq. received a fatal wound, which terminated in his death on the 4th ult., Mr. Wilson was the representative of Dyer and Obion Counties, in the general assembly; possessed of fine talents, and noble and generous feelings — accompanied with a high sense of honor, it is matter of the deepest regret that the cold grave should thus untimely gather to its repose, one so well calculated not only to ornament the circle in which he moved; but to be highly useful in the discharge of those public and official duties, which the confidence of his fellow citizens had developed upon him. He was a warm hearted friend — true in all his feelings and attachments, and of the most unswerving integrity, as well in public, as in private life. — Long will the memory of his worth and virtues be cherished by all who knew him.
