POLK STATION.
A settlement of 75 people on the Paducah & Memphis Railroad in the central part of Obion County, 3 1/2 miles from Troy, the county seat, and 160 west of Nashville. It has a grist mill, 2 saw mills and a common school. Lumber, corn, wheat and cotton are leading shipments. Mail daily. A. C. Anderson, postmaster.
