OBION.
A village of 200 inhabitants, and a station on the Paducah and Memphis R. R., in the southern part of Obion County, 6 1/2 miles from Troy, the seat of justice, 18 from Dyersburg and 167 from Nashville. It has 2 steam saw mills, and exports lumber, cotton and corn. Mail daily. Thomas Cathey, postmaster.
