Lying in Civil district No 6 of Obion County, Tennessee on Davidson Creek, two miles below Troy, beginning at a stake with two hornbeam ash beech pointers on the line of the north and south boundary line of the tree hundred acre tract formerly belonging to John Crockett; The North 82 1-2 poles to a stake with three beech gum and sycamore pointers: Thence west with Willis Hogue’s line and Me—– line 95 poles to a beech D.W. Charles Munn, aged 34, of Memphis, formerly of Troy, shot and killed himself last night in Memphis. No reason is known for the rash act. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beulah Brown Munn, whom he married in Troy about twelve years ago. Two children, Jules Wheeler MUNN and Mary Sue MUNN; his parents, Mr. And Mrs. W. B. Munn of Memphis; one brother, Ward Munn, and one sister, Mrs. Maurina Wright, both of Memphis. Funeral services and burial will take place at one thirty o’clock tomorrow afternoon.

Mon, Jun 20, 1932, Obituary: AGED WOMAN DIES NEAR TROY SATURDAY, Mrs. Maggie Wells Buried at Troy Yesterday Afternoon. Mrs. Maggie Wells, aged seventy-nine years, died Saturday night at the home of her son, Ed Wells. Near Troy following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Troy Methodist church conducted by Rev. W. Q. Scruggs. Interment was in Troy cemetery. Mrs. Wells was born and reared near Troy where she had spent her life. She was a member of the Methodist church for years. She was the wife of the former William Wells. The deceased is survived by five children. Mrs. Mary Tune of Memphis, Tom. Joe, Ed and Vaden WELLS of Troy community; seven grand-children. William and Richard Tune of Memphis, Revis, Mildred and Edward Wells of Troy; Martha Wells of Birmingham. Ala.; and another grandchild in Birmingham.

Mon, Mar 6, 1933, obituary THOMAS WELLS DIES EARLY THIS MORNING. Funeral Services will be held for Troy Man Tomorrow. TROY (special)- Thomas Wells, aged about forty years, died this morning at six o’clock after an illness of several months at the home of his brother, Ed Wells, near Troy. He is survived by a daughter, Martha Wells, who lives in Alabama; and a son, Wade Wells of Texas; three brothers, Joe, Ed, and Vaden WELLS of Troy community and one sister, Mrs. Mary Tune of Memphis. Mr. Wells was born and reared and spent most of his life in the Troy vicinity. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church, by Rev. W. Q. Scruggs. Interment will be in Troy cemetery.

TROY (Special)- Frank Bumpas, aged 83, died at his home here yesterday afternoon after an illness of one week’s duration. Funeral services were held at Troy Methodist church at ten o’clock this morning followed by interment in Troy cemetery. White and Mahon were in chare of arrangements. Surviving the deceased are on son, Bert B. Bumpas of Troy; one daughter, Miss Gertie Bumpas of Obion; and one brother, Jeff B. Bumpas of Union City. Mr. Bumpas was born and reared in Madison County, but came to Obion county forty years ago and had made his home here since that time.

Tue, Oct 10, 1939, obituary Joe Wells Dies at Troy Mon. Well Known citizen of Sixth District is buried today. Troy- Joe Wells, 62, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his brother, Vaden Wells. Mr. Wells had lived in Troy all his life. He had been in bad health for the past two or three years. He leaves two brothers, Vaden and Ed Wells, both of Troy, and a sister, Mrs. Jim Tune of Memphis. Funeral services were held at three o’clock this afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. R. E. White assisted by Rev. B. P. York and Rev. L. R. Neill. Burial was in Troy Cemetery, with White-Mahon in charge of arrangements.

Bumpas, was married to Glenn Hawkins, son of Mr. And Mrs. L. A. Hawkins of Peoria, Ill., at 8 o’clock Thursday evening in the home of the bride’s parents in Troy. The Rev. J.P. Irion, pastor of the Troy Methodist church officiated in the presence of the immediate family. The bride wore a blue crepe frock with white accessories. Mr. And Mrs. R.W. Mahon were the only attendants. The bride is a graduate of Troy high school. Mr. Hawkins is a graduate of Plattsburg, O., high school and attended Taylor university at Upland, Ind. Mr. Hawkins will return to Peoria on Saturday. Mrs. Hawkins will join her husband in a month.

Mon, Dec 11, 1944, obituary D.Y.Dunbar, Troy Farmer, Passes Away, Services this Afternoon At A.R.P. Church. David Young Dunbar, 72, farmer of the Troy community, died at his farm home, 3 miles northwest of Troy. Where he had lived for 36 years, at midnight Sunday. He had been in poor health for some time, but had been confined to his home only for 2 days. And his death came suddenly. He was born Sept. 5, 1872 at Troy, the son of Adam and Nancy Wilson Dunbar, and he lived in the Troy community all of his life. On Feb. 19, 19008, he married Iona Ratterree who survives him. He also survived by a daughter. Mrs. Noel Snider of Troy and a brother, John H. Dunbar, also of Troy. Funeral services were held at the ARP Church at Troy at 3:30 this afternoon with Rev.s L.R. Niell. R.E. White and H.D. Weaver officiating. And elders and deacons of the church served as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Dunbar was and elder of the ARP church. Burial was in the Troy cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of White-Mahon of Troy.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Cook in Troy. Rev. L.R. Niell, Rev. Weaver, and Rev. R.E. White officiated. Active pallbearers were W.E. Morris, Lee Brown, John Cude, John Buchanan, J.C. King and John Dunbar. Honorary pallbearers were E.A. McAdoo, Birt Bumpas, Ed Wells, Hall Crittendon, Stanley Roberts, and Albert Green. Burial was in Troy cemetery. White-Mahon was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moore moved from Union City about 35 years ago. Funeral arrangements were incomplete today. But services will be held at the Fulton Methodist church followed by interment in East View cemetery there. Hornbeak funeral home of Fulton is in charge.

Moore. 56, former Obion Countian who died suddenly of a heart attack at 4:30 Tuesday morning at his home near Fulton. The Rev. J. F. McMinn and the Rev, C. E. Hawkins, pastor, officiated. Interment was in East View Cemetery with Hornbeak funeral home in charge. He was born near Waverly on Jan 11, 1892, the don of Thomas and Delphia Sanders Moore. He lived in Troy and Union City for a number of years and resided in Indianapolis for about 32 years. He was married to miss Myrtle McCree on Jan 11, 1914 and they were parents of one son. Mr. Moore retired from business several years ago and he and Mrs. Moore returned to Fulton to make their home. He was a member of the Fulton Methodist church and the Masonic lodge. Besides his wife, Mrs. Myrtle McCree Moore, he leaves on son, W. T. Moore of Indianapolis : one brother, Wherry Moore of Troy: one sister, Mrs. Hester Bondurant of Near Fulton, and two grandchildren.

She had been in failing health for almost 15 years. Mrs. Cook was born Feb 28, 1872. And had spent her entire life in Troy. Her husband. John Cook, preceded her in death 10 years ago. She leaves one brother, G. B. McRee of Indianapolis. And a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cook had been a member of the Troy Methodist church since childhood. Mon, Jul 21 1952, obituary G.B. McRee Passes Away, Services Tuesday At Troy Church. Gid B. McRee, 85, resident of Troy for many years. Died Saturday night in Indianapolis, Ind., it was learned here today. Mr. McRee had spent his entire life in troy until a year ago when he moved to Indianapolis. He was born in Troy on Feb. 5 1867. The son of Dick and Mary Sue McRee. He was a farmer and livestock dealer and was a Mason and a member of the Troy Methodist church. Mr. McRee was the last member of his immediate family, his sister, Mrs. Molie Cook. Having died on Jan 1. His wife, Mrs Alice Posey McRee, died 24 years ago. He leaves 12 children, Omer, Myrtle, Corinne, Cletus, Reuben, Don, Mamie, Carrie M., Posey, Dock, Eudora and Mary and a number of grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The body of Mr. McRee is expected to arrive in Fulton at 5:30 Tuesday morning on an Illinois Central train and will be taken to the White-Mahon funeral home in Troy. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Troy Methodist church by the Rev. C O Frey. Interment will be in Troy Cemetery with Masonic services at the grave.

May 19, 1958, obituary Services Today for Dick Lunsford ex-UC Resident of Union City for many years, were held at 10 this morning at White-Ranson Funeral home. The Rev. Edward Hale of Hamilton, O., officiated and burial was in East View Cemetery. Mr Lunsford died Friday night at the home of a son, Bill Lunsford, in Hamilton. Death followed a stroke. He had been visiting his son for the past six weeks. Mr. Lunsford was born near Polk Station Community in Obion county and for many years, was a livestock dealer and mule trader in Union City. For the past five years he had been making his home with his sisters, Mrs. Daisy Pentilon and Mrs. A. V. Nagle, in Hickman, KY. He was 73. He leaves three sons, Richard Lunsford, and Bill Lunsford of Hamilton, and Charles T. Lunsford of Wartrace, Tenn: four daughters, Mrs. Charles Gullett and Mrs. Thomas E. Bell Jr. Of Mamisburg, O., Mrs. Robert Black of Salinas, Calif., and Mrs. Thomas Williams of Sterling, Ill.; his sisters; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
