Wartburg Cemetery

WARTBURG CEMETERY 
      Location:  South of Wartburg, turn onto Potters Falls Road and travel app. .4 mile to the cemetery on the right. To be the largest cemetery in Morgan County, it has only app. 22 u/m graves. [Location info taken from Morgan County Cemetery Book by Susie Kreis.]

HERE IN  THE HOPE OF A BLESSED
RESSURECTION ARE THE MORTAL REMAINS
OF THOSE PIONEER RESIDENTS OF
WARTBURG WHO WERE BURIED IN THE
GERMAN LUTHERAN CEMETERY IN THE
EARLY YEARS OF THE GERMAN-SWISS
SETTLEMENT AND REMOVED IN 1974 TO
THIS GRAVE WHEN THEIR FIRST RESTING PLACE WAS ACQUIRED BY THE STATE
OF TENNESSEE FOR HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
BLESSED ARE THE DEAD IN CHRIST  THAT, THEY MAY
REST FROM THEIR LABORS AND THEIR WORKS DO FOLLOW THEM
