Conrad I. Land died Sept. 27, 1982. Retired from the US Air Force having served in WW II, the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oakdale and a retire Oakdale City Judge having served eight years.
Survivors: are his wife, Rachel Burris Land, daughter, Deborah L. Rice and son James C. Land and 3 grandchildren. A sister, Jean Cromwell and a brother Lloyd Land.

LAND, MRS. RACHEL E., age 78 of Oakdale, died suddenly, Wednesday evening, April 4, 2007. She was a member of the South Harriman Baptist Church. She was employed by Morgan County Life Center for years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Land; Parents: Rev. and Mrs. David Burris; son-in-law: Colbert Rice; sister; Jewel Duncan; and brother: Paul Burris. She is survived by her Daughter: Deborah Rice of Oliver Springs; Son and daughter-in-law: James and Cheryl Land of Oakdale; Grandchildren: Shilo Rice, Julya Johnson, Austin Rice, Jennifer Hull, and Travis Land. Five great, grandchildren; Brothers: James Burris and Rev. John Burris, both of Ohio; Sisters: Mary Sneed of Florida, and Dorcas Mitchell. Naomi Butler, and Ruth Salmons, all of Harriman. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Crab Orchard Cemetery with Rev.
