Johnson, Willie Blount  (1800 – 1852)

SENATE, 21st General Assembly, 1835-37; representing Montgomery and Robertson counties. Born in Robertson County in 1800, exact date not indicated; son of Thomas and Mary (Noel) Johnson. Extent of schooling not determined. Married to Catherine Dortch; date and place of marriage not found; children – Robert, Baker, Martha, and Nannie. One of first attorneys to practice at Robertson County bar; later practiced at Clarksville, Montgomery County. At time of death he had moved back to Robertson County. Judge of circuit court, 1842-48. Member Free and Accepted Masons, serving as Master of Montgomery County Lodge No. 10. Died at home in Robertson County Dec 15, 1852; place of burial not indicated. Father-in-law Charles Gholson Smith, sometime member TN General Assembly.
