HOUSE, 41st General Assembly, 1879-81; representing Montgomery County; Democrat. Born in Dickson County Aug 4, 1818; son of John and Mrs. Suzanna (Bush) Roebuck Reynolds. Attended primary and secondary schools in Dickson County. Married Oct 10, 1838, to Durinda Slayden; children - Frances, Janie, Irene, William Everette, Rhoda Victoria, Naicy [sic], John Thomas, Susan Emily, and Zena. Engaged in farming near Baldhornet and Big Rock, Montgomery County, during Civil War was foreman of rolling mill of Old Cumberland Iron Works, Dickson County. Member of church but “adhered to doctrine of Primitive Baptist church”; member Free and Accepted Masons; Master Mason, 1858; Royal Arch Mason, 1865; Knight Templar, 1869. Captain in TN Militia. Died in Stewart County, June 9, 1909; buried in Parker graveyard near Big Rock.
