Osborne, John Bryan (1851 – 1922)
HOUSE, 59th and 60th General Assemblies, 1915-19; representing Montgomery
County; Democrat. Born near Peacher’s Mill, Montgomery County, Nov 6, 1851;
son of John Bryan and Marion (Trice) Osborne. Attended public and private
schools of Montgomery County. Married
c. 1900 to Hattie Collins; one son who died in infancy. Moved to Clarksville,
Montgomery County, c. 1885; engaged in livery business; later in mercantile
business; still later in laundry business. Justice of the peace and member
of county court from 1912 to death. Member Baptist Church; Knights of Pythias,
Cumberland Lodge. Died at Clarksville June 15, 1922; buried in City Cemetery.
