Married at Wichita Falls, TX, Sep 15, 1944 to Peggy Mankins, daughter of Cecil W. and Sue Mankins of Mankins, Archer County, TX; children – Larry L., Sue Diane, and Nancy Lee. Automobile dealer at Clarksville at time of legislative service; in 1957 was associated with Wes-Land Realty Co, Houston, TX; since 1959, associated with Bob Norris Insurance and Realty Co., Clarksville; in 1967, president of Railroad & Truck Salvage, Inc., Clarksville. Served for seven and one-half years in Field and Coast Artillery, US Army, attaining rank of 1st Sgt. Member Methodist Episcopal Church. Address (1967) 1765 Simpson Drive, Clarksville.
