I John Erwin being of sound mind and memory and in a low state or health in view of my final end. do this my last will and testament make
First I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came. First after my Funeral expences and debts are paid I desire to give to my Dear and beloved wife Elizabeth H. Erwin my Plantation where on I live together with all the stock and farming utentials together with my household and kitchen funiture also I give my negro girl Emily to my beloved wife.
I appoint my wife Elizabeth my Executor and John Ellison Executor of this my last will. in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st of August 1845.

Marshall County. County Court Sept 1845
Personally appeared in open court C. B. Hall and W. F. Erwin subscribing withnesses to the above will who being first sworn herein open court proved the due Execution of said will as the law directs. It is therefore ordered by the court that said paper wrightly be entered of Record. Witness my hand at office this 1st day of Sept 1845.
