Doris Nelle Duncan, age 76, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at her home. Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Greg Duncan, Nathan Duncan and Mark Walton officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Swiss Cemetery. Mrs. Duncan was born September 22, 1934 in Centerville to the late Marvin O. and Waymon Newman Wayland. She was retired vice-president of First Citizens Bank. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duncan is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Duncan; son, Tommy Duncan; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Peters and Baby Munson. Survivors include one son, Greg Duncan (Deborah) of Macon, Mississippi; two daughters, Lisa Anderson (Greg) of Hohenwald and Lynda Walton (Mark) of Centerville; one brother, James Wayland of Hohenwald; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
