John Timothy “Tim” Baker was born July 31, 1961, to the late William James and Barbara Nash Baker in Spring Hill, TN, where he lived, grew up and attended school. Tim passed away January 31, 2022, in Columbia, TN at the age of 60.

Tim is survived by his son Cody Baker, daughter Tanna Shadowens and son John Baker along with grandchildren Aiden Thornburg, Addie Shadowens, Tobias Shadowens, and Malakia Shadowens. Tim is also survived by his siblings Jim (Terri) Baker of Columbia, TN, Aubrey (Sherry) Baker, Steve (Alpha Dean) Baker of Spring Hill, TN, Dr. Randy Baker of Lewisburg, TN, Elaine Baker Beard of Water Valley, TN along with numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.

Tim was baptized into Christ at the age of 10 at Brown’s Chapel Church of Christ where he attended with his Daddy. Tim was most happy when around horses and loved the community of Shady Grove in Hickman County, TN.

Visitation with the family will be February 5, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:30 AM with burial after the service in The Stand Cemetery, Duck River, TN.

Memorials may be made in honor of Tim to The Stand Cemetery.
