GREEN
I’m looking for information on Joseph Franklin GREEN who was born about 1896 possibly in Lawrence County. The twist is that we think he was raised by his grandparents, Henry Clay and Mary Ann GREEN (who we always thought were his parents), because one of their older children may have had him out of wedlock at quite a young age (around 14 or 15). They moved to Stewart County before 1910 with 5 of their 8 surving children and Joseph. If anyone has ANY information on their children, or on the birth of Joseph – or is willing to look it up (I’m in BELGIUM!) – I would greatly appreciate it – Joseph, my great-grandfather has always been a family mystery and my grandmother would love to know more about her family.

MCANALLY
John Preston McAnally b.April 26, 1847 in Franklin County, Indiana and died July 07, 1914 in Crowson Mills, Tennessee. John Preston and I are connected at the individual William McAnally b. 1798 TN. With the discovery that John Preston McAnally lived and died in Lawrence County we are surmising that there is a connection to McAnally line through John and Anna Stone McAnally early residents of Lawrence County (ca 1817). John Preston McAnally lived all of his life in Franklin and Henry Counties of Indiana and was married the second time in that state in 1902. We do not know when he moved to TN, it could have been anytime after the second marriage because he does not appear on any 1910 census. The next record we have is the death notice and obit that appears in the July issues of the Lawrence Democrat. Would appreciate any info on John and/or the other McAnally families that lived in the Crowson Mill area during the period 1902-1914.
