DUNCAN
I am researching James DUNCAN who had three children by an unknown Cherokee Indian wife. The children’s names were Minnie DUNCAN (b.1892), Jessie James DUNCAN (1893)and Mattie DUNCAN (1896). They are all listed on the 1900 Census of Tennessee (Lawrence County), except for the mother. The woman listed as wife (Willie Manley) is not the three children’s mother, she is only the mother of Josie DUNCAN (1899). Willie married James in 1897, when she was 16 and he was 54. I cannot seem to find any information on his Cherokee wife. I need any information on these two (James or Cherokee wife) before or during 1896. Thanks
