Looking form information concerning THOMAS J. CHRONISTER (may be spelled Cronester or Cranester) born 2/24/1827 in Lancaster Co. I am seeking any birth, census, tax information, etc. that would shed light on Thomas’ parents, siblings, occupation of his father, etc. I believe his father was named Adam, but need more verification and additional information. Thomas was a veteran of the 2nd Arkansas Volunteer Calvary, Company I. He died 6/23/1912 and is buried in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. I would be happy to exchange any information with interested parties. Looking for any info. on Wilson CLIFTON, born 1807 and his wife Sarah WELCH, born 1811 in Lawrence Co., married in 1827 near Lawrenceburgh. Their children were Thomas, Theopholis, John, Augustus, James, William, Mary, Diana, and Sarah. Moved to Missouri around 1842, then to Texas with brother John’s family in 1845.

I am looking for information to help determine the parents of Thomas J. Chronister born 2/24/1827 in Lawrence Co. Tennessee. I believe his father was named Adam but would like other verification. According to the 1880 census of Independence Co. Ark my ancestor Thomas Manuel was born in Tenn. about 1838. I find thomas Manuel age 12 in 1850 census of Lawrence Co. Does anyone have any information on this Thomas Manuel? Any information will be appreciated. I will share info.

CUTBIRTH I am trying to connect George Cutbirth to Benjamin Cutbirth Sr. Benjamin helped to organize the county of Maury in 1807 after moving here from Carter Co. TN. In 1809 he is in the Cherokee lands (N Alabama) and is ordered off. He has a son named Daniel. (after D Boone)Daniel shows up in the 1820 Giles Co census. George is in the 1840 Giles Co census. He was born about 1800. In 1850 George is in Lawrence Co. and has a son named Daniel. I am researching the Flippo Family and related individuals. I am particulary interested in finding out who my (3rd) great grand father (Henry Flippo born Abt 1796) and mother (Margret Smith born Abt 1790) parents and Grand parents and brothers and sisters were. Lacher’s came to Lawrenceburg, Lawrence Co., TN around 1875. Kathryn Lacher married Saney Willard Hicks 1894. Hicks was the son of David Rule Hicks and Sarah A. Cothran. Sarah was the daughter of Eli Cothran and Mary Lee Morris. The Cothran’s were from Lewis and Lawrence Co., TN. I have them back to 1860.I need help on the Cothran’s and Lacher’s. I have the Hicks back to NC 1776.

This date fits the genealogy of my Thomas GEE (born c1796 NC; died 1866 Macon Co., MO) who married an Elizabeth (surname unknown) in TN at about that time. According to the information available from Missouri Certificate of Death Peter was born July 29, 1834 in Lawrence County Tennessee. >From Missouri Census Peter indicates that he was born in Lawrence County Tennessee and that the birthplace of both his father and mother was Georgia. Was he the Nicholas Fisher Jr. who was born in South Carolina, the son of Nicholas Fisher Sr. from Greenville County in the late 1700’s? Also looking for parents of ROBERT FISHER, who according to the 1850 and 1860 South Carolina census, was born in Tennessee around 1822. Robert Fisher lived in Greenville County in 1850. QUILLEN-PHILLIPS Seeking any information on these early settlers. John PHILLIPS, better known as Jack, married Sarah QUILLEN and lived in Maury County about 1810 to 1816. It is believed that Jack’s father was also John PHILLIPS and may have lived here before statehood. Jack and Sarah later lived in Lawrence Co until about 1828 when they moved to Center Star, AL.

Would enjoy sharing info with other researchers of the Jacob PENNINGTON line of Lawrence Co., TN. Jacob, originally from SC, settled on the Big Buffalo R. in Lawrence Co. some time around 1812. His children included Isaac, William, Abraham, David, and Moses, all early settlers of Lawrence Co. Also had daughters Mary BURNS and Elizabeth MATHEWS. My line goes back to Isaac’s son James Jackson PENNINGTON, my gr. gr. grandfather, for whom the airfield at Lawrenceburg is named. Also seek info on VOSS and EMERSON, families allied with the PENNINGTONS.
