UNION SC TO LAWRENCE TN MIGRATION
I have a question regarding the Union Co., SC/Lawrence Co., TN migrations of early settlers. I am researching my Denton/Askew line in Lawrence Co., TN. My ancestor first appears in Lawrence in 1826. It is believed he came to TN from Union Co., SC. I would like to know more about the migration patterns from Union Co. to Lawrence Co. I have seen several queries that mention a Union/Lawrence connection. Why did families come to from Union to Lawrence? Was it an easy, direct route?
