Joe A. HOLT’s Wife died while living in Knox County Tennessee. Joe took his children to Texas. With him came Timothy Lee HOLT, Albert B. HOLT, John HOLT, Ben HOLT and Belle HOLT. Thomas PRINCE KY/TN/AR – Looking for any information anyone might have on Thomas Prince, his ancestors, descendants, wife(s), parents, or siblings. Thomas was born on 8 January, 1808 in Kentucky (location unknown). He moved to Tennessee and lived many years in Wayne county (possibly Lawrence and others), before moving to Hempstead county Arkansas, where he died on 11 January, 1885. Sterling Carroll WHITE, born abt. 1856 married Emma HOOD in 1882 in Lawrence County, TN. Living decendants say that he was married 6, maybe 7 times. So far I can identify three wives: Rebecca JACKSON, 1899 in Lauderdale Co. AL; Emma HOOD, 1882 in Lawrence Co., TN; Alice CHANEY, no date or location; I have no clue as to the number of children, so far I can identify these: Maggie L. born abt. 1899; Elma V. born abt. 1915; and William Carroll, born 1919. I can only find him on the 1910 and 1920 census for Hardeman Co., TN. Sterling supposedly died in 1920-21, location unknown. I’m seeking info. on the names of the parents of William CURRY and Allen CURRY. I think they may have been brothers or cousins. I don’t have much on William, but Allen was born about 1823. He married Emily(?) around 1847. LEWALLEN, YOUNG, RIDDELL
Sarah LEWALLEN is listed in 1860 and 1870 Lawrence Co census (15th District). Her husband was Dave LEWALLEN, who reportedly died in a Nashville hospital soon after the birth of their son Thomas Marion LEWALLEN (b. 1846). Thomas married Charlotte Amanda RIDDELL (b. Aug 18, 1848), dau. of Henry and Mary MCCRACKEN RIDDELL. Sarah’s maiden name was YOUNG and she was born in Georgia. (Sarah LEWALLEN was listed in Giles Co in 1840; so far I can’t find her in 1850.) Any information will be appreciated. The LEWALLENS later moved to McNairy Co, TN.

I am looking for info on Mary L. DODD’s family. I know she was born Oct. 1853 and married Ebenezer BRAZIER 12-26-1871. Her parents are Marvel Isenus DODD(born 1823) and Rebecca SINGLETON. Marvel’s parents are Solomon DODD(b. abt 1800) and Susan CRUMPTON. Solomon’s father’s name is William. I saw the DODD family had a book at the Lawrence Co. Library.
