DEATH–Mrs. Alf MACLIN died at her home on South Henning Street Wednesday evening. The funeral services conducted by Rev. SALMON were held at the family residence at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, and the remains were laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. MACLIN had been a great sufferer for many years, but bore her illness with christian fortitude, and awaited with patience the final summons which wafted her gentle spirit into the presence of her Master, in whom she had placed her trust when a young girl, and who had been the source of her strenght all her life, and especially a comfort during the days of her affliction. Mrs. MACLIN was a daughter of the late Col. W. B. CLAIBORNE, who was one of the best known, honored, and esteemed citizens of Haywood County. She is survived by her husband and two sons, James MACLIN and Willie MACLIN; also three sisters, Mrs. Mary MANN and Mrs. W. D. POSTON, of Haywood County, and Mrs. Rozelle CONNER, of Ripley.
