DUVALL, Anjentta Josephine Akin
FRIDAY JUNE 24, 1932, LAUDERDALE COUNTY ENTERPRISE RIPLEY, TENNESSEE
DEATH–Anjentta Josephine, daughter of the late Francis Marion and Elijah AKIN was born February 7th,1852 in Middle Tennessee and died June 16,1932 at her home in Ripley. When a small child, she moved with her parents to Lauderdale County. She was married on December 27th,1874 to Benjamin Franklin DUVALL and to this union were born nine children, five of whom; two girls and three sons and her husband preceded her in death. When quite young she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her saviour. Those who knew her best know that her faith was unwavering. For years Mrs. DUVALL’s membership was with New Hope Methodist Church and though she could not attend regularly, her pleasure was in association with church people. She was always cheerful, looked on the bright side, and was able to see the good rather than the bad. She was a devoted mother and sister and to her friends she was loyal and true. Four children, Mack DUVALL, Garland DUVALL, Guy DUVALL and Jack DUVALL; one sister, Mrs. Lee RAINEY; one brother, Mr. Chas. AKIN; and a host of other relatives and friends mourn her departure. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning by Rev. Howell TAYLOR of the local Methodist church, assisted by Elder H.I. COPELAND and Rev. Smith RICHARDSON at New Hope church.
