Fred Moore
Retired TWRA officer, Lake Co. Sheriff, 85

Fred Moore, 85 of Tiptonville, died Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Baptist Hospital in Union City. The widower of Evelyn Mitchell Moore, he was a retired employee of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, a World War II veteran having served with the U. S. Navy Sea Bees, a member of the VFW, American Legion and former sheriff of Lake County.

Services were held at 11 A.M. Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Northcutt officiating. Burial was in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by two sisters, Myrtis Moore Stanley, of Tiptonville, and Ann Moore Jones, of Memphis, two brothers, Roy Moore of Tiptonville, and Joe Moore of Portageville, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

Paulbearers were Chad Heam, Jeremy Heam, Ryan Boyd, Joe Moore Stanley, Josh Stanley and Joe Ryan Stanley.
