Mrs. Sarah HARDIN whose illness was mentioned last week has since died. She was buried last Saturday at Berea cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. WAUGH and MOORE. A large crowd attended.

The infant child of Jerry WILSON, spoken of in last issue, died on last Thursday evening.

Died – At Lenoir, NC., on the <..> inst., Col. Greene MORE, aged 86 years. He was one of the oldest inhabitants of Taylorsville, and had many friends and acquaintances in Johnson.

We learned that Mrs. Hiram JONES, of Trade, Tenn., a most amiable lady, died last Tuesday.

Editorial Note: From looking at various family trees online, it appears Mrs. Hiram Jones may have been named Virginia Robinson.
Moses LOCKHART (colored) was hanged at Edgefield last Friday for the murder of Moses BLACK last April. The difficulty was about a woman that both wanted.
