Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 13, 1992, at Luff-Bowen Chapel for Henry Clay Curtis of Waverly.   Mr. Curtis, 71. died Aug. 11, following a three-month illness.

Andrew Jarret of Waverly and Carl Long of McEwen officiated at the service with burial at McKeel Cemetery. Luff-Bowen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Curtis was born in Humphreys County and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army World War II veteran, and member of Spann Church of Christ, Waverly Eastern Star, Waverly Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Mason.

Mr Curtis was the son of the late Robert A. and Dillie Ann Bell Curtis. He was married to Catherine Woods Curtis of Waverly.   Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, a brother and two grandchildren.
