Murder in Hamilton
On Sunday morning last, a horrible murder was perpetrated on Walden’s Ridge, near Soddy, in Hamilton county. It resulted from a family quarrel between Wm EMLIN and Shadrick WOOD, in which the former was shot and killed by the latter. WOOD, the murderer, has been apprehended and committed to jail at Chattanooga. It is said a woman– Emlin’s wife– was the cause of the difficulty. (page 4, col.2)
