Smith County Geological Survey (1866)
We learn from the Nashville Press and Times of the 7th that Mr. William DENTON the celebrated geologist of Boston, has been engaged by Milroy, Watters & Co., to make a complete geological survey of their lands. He departed on Tuesday for the locality of their silver mines in Smith county, in this State.
