Runaway Horse Buggy (1865)

Last Sunday, while the lady of Mr. H.C. CUNLIFFE and her sister were out buggy-riding, the horse became frightened and started off at a break-neck speed, and for a few moments the position of the ladies was perilous in the extreme. As the former lady attempted to get out she fell on her face and sustained some painful, through not serious injuries. Her sister escaped unhurt.
