Mr. Parham Visits (1851)

We had the pleasure of an acquaintance with our contemporary of the Chattanooga Gazette, F.A. Parham, Esq. the other evening who came passenger on the Lincoln.  Mr. P. is one of the oldest editors in Tennessee, having been engaged in that calling upwards of nineteen years, and during the whole of this period has demeaned himself in a courteous and gentlemanly manner towards his co-laborers in the editorial corps.  His urbane manners and practical good sense have secured to him the respect of all parties.
