Jailbreak in Winchester (1866)

We learn from the American Union, printed in Shelbyville, Tenn; that: “Of the eight persons confined in the county jail at Winchester, seven made their escape on Sunday night last, one refusing to leave, giving as his reason that he was innocent of the charge upon which he was imprisoned.”
