J. M. GILBERT Escapes to Georgia (1911)

Chattanooga – When J.M. GILBERT, a saloonist, who was fined for whiskey selling, was arrested after violating his pledge to sell no more whiskey, he asked that he be released, as his wife was dying.  Attorney-General WHITTAKER released him, but instead of visiting his sick wife, he escaped to Georgia.
