Irby Morgan Contributes Money (1851)

MR. IRBY MORGAN, of the firm of Southworth, Morgan & Neil, upon returning from the East this spring and witnessing the destruction of our town, by the storm in February, addressed a letter to such of the Philadelphia merchants as it has been his good fortune to deal with, for several years past, representing our condition; whereupon they generously contributed the handsome sum of Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars to be applied towards rebuilding the Presbyterian Church in this place.
