BRANHAM, Elizabeth S. – (d. 1894)
Mrs. Elizabeth S. BRANHAM, wife of the late A.G. BRANHAM, of this city, died very suddenly Friday night at 12 o’clock at the home of her nephew, J.R. FERGUSON, in Montgomery County, four miles from Clarksville. Mrs. BRANHAM was on a visit to relatives in that section of the State, and the announcement of her death was a profound shock to her many friends in Nashville and Sumner County. She was a gentle, Christian lady and was widely honored and respected. She leaves five sons, all well-known citizens. The remains will be interred in the family burial grounds in Sumner County, six miles from Gallatin, this afternoon. Rev. Collins DENNY will preach the funeral at 3pm.
