David R. DICKEY, of Randolph, Tennessee, made a bet that he could eat four bottles of brandy peaches and drink all the liquor, together with two full tumblers of raw whisky. He drank the whiskey and finished all the peaches, dropping dead while holding the last peach to his mouth.
One night last week the large store house on McKenzie and McCloy situated at Mason’s Depot, on the Memphis and Ohio railroad, in the edge of Tipton county, was burned to the ground. The house was full of dry goods, groceries, wares, etc., all of which were totally lost. There
