Benton School – One of Best in State (1872)

The town of Benton can boast of one of the best schools in the State, there being in attendance upon it 175 pupils.  It is under the control of the Rev. W.H. CRAWFORD, who has proved himself one of the most efficient instructors in the State, and we predict that as long as her remains at the head of affairs the school will continue to grow and flourish.
