Alumni Meeting (1907)

The city alumni of Roger Williams University, met at the home of Dr. BANDY, Tuesday evening, January 15. Rev. KINNEY acted as chairman and Miss MALLORY, secretary.  Dr. BANDY offered a resolution to appoint a committee to form some plan for soliciting funds for the rebuilding of the school.  The motion was carried and the following committee was appointed:  Prof. I.H. HAMPTON, Dr. A.M. TOWNSEND and Mrs. M.A. YOUNG.  This committee is to have plans ready and report at the next meeting which will be held at Mrs. Carrie YOUNG’s residence, 316 North Spruce street, Thursday evening, Jan. 24, at 7:30pm.  It is reported that all of the alumni be present at this meeting.  Those who were present pledged themselves to give the following sum: Mrs. Carrie YOUNG, $5.00; Dr. BANDY, $50.00; Ida D. MALLORY, $10,00; Mrs. M.A. BENNETT, $10.00; Elder KINNEY, $25.00.
