Roster of Company “M” 7th Tennessee Cavalry
Company “M” was mustered into the service early in 1862, having completed its organization by the election of the following officers;
- James G. HAYWOOD, Captain, resigned in 1862
- J. M. SHAW, 1st Lt., discharged in 18_?
- Ben DAVIS, 2nd Lt.
- Wm. H. MOORER, 3rd Lt.
In the course of that year, Captain HAYWOOD and Lt. SHAW resigned, and Ben T. DAVIS was named Captain; W. H. MOORER, 1st Lt. ; C. S. O. RICE, 2nd Lt. ; Jas. H. LIVINGSTON, 3rd Lt. ; which officers continued to the end of the war.
