Page 550: April Term 1868: Ordered by the Court that Francis Clark, S. H. Permenter, S. H. Midyett, G. W. Bond and A. Hughes be appointed a jury of view, to view out a change in the Cageville and Bells Station Road, as prposed [sic] by W. A. Lewis, where it runs through the said Lewis’ land and report to the next Quarterly Term of this Court.
Page 598: 6th July 1868: Persuarnt [sic] to an order of the County Court of Haywood County, Tennessee, the undersigned proceeded to view out the change proposed by Wm. A. Lewis and report as follows, to wit:
Leaving the present road near the west end of the lands on the east side of a ditch, running south on the east side of said ditch, to Nelson Allen’s line-thence east with said line to the present road. That said change will not add to the distance in said road, and will not–? the public or private individuals, and they therefore recommend that the change be made, providing the said Lewis shall open out said road and put the road in a good traveling order.
