LAUDERDALE COUNTY NEWS; ENTERPRISE — Mr. Louis THORNLEY died at his home in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood on Christmas after an illness of several weeks.
LOCAL NEWS — It is with feeling of sorrow and regret that we record the death of little Elizabeth Christina, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar H. JOHNSON, who died Thursday morning at 5 o’clock of typhoid fever, aged 2 years, 6 months. Funeral services were conducted at the home of her parents Thursday evening at 4 o’clock by Rev. W. W. ADAMS. Interment in Oakwood cemetery.
SOCIAL AND PERSONAL —
Mr. Joe SILVERSTEIN, of Hot Springs, Ark. , and Miss Teresa TAMM, of this city, were united in marriage on last Tuesday evening at the Temple Ades Israel, Rabbi SAMFIELD, of Memphis, performing the ceremony.
At 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, December 30th, at the residence of the bride’s father, Mr. J. L. RUDOLPH, of Massac, Ky. , Mr. W. Ben MARTIN, of Danceyville, Tenn. , and Miss Annie RUDOLPH were united in holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. W. J. NAYLOR, brother-in- law to the bride. The couple took a south-bound train from Paducah for Covington, Tenn. , at 7 p. m. and spent the night with Rev. and Mrs. W. J. TAYLOR. They returned to Danceyville, where a reception was held at the home of the groom’s father, Mr. I. B. MARTIN.
Mr. W. B. COVINGTON, of this place and Miss Pearl McELRATH were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s sister in Cedar Bluff, Ala. , December 31, 1902, Rev. McLESKEY officiating. This young couple arrived here last Saturday where they will make their home.
Mrs. Ben BOOKER delightfully entertained a number of guests at supper Monday night, complimentary to her sister, Miss Charlie C. KOSER.
Mrs. John HALLIBURTON and daughter are spending the winter in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
Mrs. D. A. MATHISON, of Dorwood, Indian Territory, is visiting her sister, Mrs. S. H. MATHEWS, in the 6th district.
J. H. HALLIBURTON has returned to his business in Mississippi, after spending several days in Brownsville.
Mrs. Sarah JONES, who has been visiting in Jackson, has returned, and is now with her sister, Mrs. Lula PAYNE.
After a pleasant visit of two weeks, Miss Charlie KOSER, who was visiting her sister, Mrs. BOOKER, returned to her home in Clarksdale Arkansas Tuesday.
W. D. MOORE has been assigned work in the revenue service at Tullahoma. He left here Saturday, and was accompanied by his daughter, Miss Roberta, who is attending school at the place.
R. E. TAYLOR renewed his subscription at our office and that of his son, J. L. TAYLOR, at Thayer, Kansas.
Mrs. T. S. RICHARDSON ordered the Graphic mailed to her son, Frank RICHARDSON at Lownds, Mo. The young man has a good position in Missouri.
Mr. A. J. MOORE and family, of Vilonia, Ark. , arrived here Thursday of last week and will make this their future home. Mr. MOORE was once a resident of Haywood county and we welcome him home.
John WELCH, who removed from this place 26 years ago, and located in Corsicana, Texas, spent several days in Brownsville recently. He made a fortune in Texas and is now enjoying the fruits of his labor.

TIPTON, an acting justice of the peace in and for the County of Haywood, State of Tennessee, in an attachment suit wherein H. D. WHITEHURST is plaintiff and you are defendant, in which it is alleged you are a non-resident of Tenn. , and a resident of the State of Arkansas, and that you are indebted to WHITEHURST in the sum of $10. 35; etc.
