DANCEYVILLE NEWS AND NOTES — Mrs. Tarry BEASLEY, of Memphis, formerly Miss Maud DIXON, is the guest of her family and parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ed DIXON.
OUR HILLVILLE LETTER — Dr. T. K. POWELL, after a lingering illness of several months, died on the 9th. Mrs. T. K. POWELL had the misfortune of losing $300 one day last week.
FROM FORKED DEER — Miss Rosa HARDY, one of our accomplished young ladies, is now visiting her sister, Mrs. T. J. PEARSON, of your city.
FOUND DYING IN WOODS — Edward S. ARMSTRONG, a prominent man of Hawkins County, Tenn., died as the result of a knife wound inflicted by George FEATHERS. ARMSTRONG was found in the woods lying in a pool of blood. FEATHERS is in jail in ROGERSVILLE.
LOCAL NEWS — Died April 4th, Mrs. E. M. SEYMOUR, nee Miss Mattie TREZEVANT, aged 64 years, at her home in Evergreen, Texas.
SOCIAL AND PERSONAL — R. W. CHAPMAN, Jr., and Miss Minnie FLEMING were married Sunday last at Woodville. The groom is an employee of Hatchie Mfg. Co.
THE FOLLOWING NOTICE FROM DENTON, TEXAS NEWS — W. Alvin MATTHEWS and Miss Annie SPIKES were married last Sunday at 4 p. m. He is a son of S. H. MATTHEWS, of the Sixth District of Haywood County.
