Miss MAUD JACKSON of Obion is visiting her sister, Mrs. John RUBLE.
W. F. FITZGERALD and family will spend the winter with his father, A. G. FITZGERALD.

Mr. J. B. HARPER of Nashville is visiting his brother, G. H. HARPER.
Miss Lucille GRAVES has been sick with typhoid fever is improving.
LOCAL NEWS —
T. J. CASTELLOW of the 5th district sold to Frank NUNN this week a 2-year-old black filly for $153.
The families of Messrs. Tom and Frank HARALSON, who live a few miles south of town and who have been sorely afflicted with illness for several weeks have about recovered except one, John, son of R. W. HARALSON, who is yet considered in a dangerous condition.
SOCIAL AND PERSONAL —
Dr. W. H. BAYNES and Miss Lyde MILLER were married last Thursday week, November 3rd at 2 p. m. at the home of Mrs. S. G. LEA at Gates, Tenn., Rev. R. LONG of the Presbyterian church. Miss MILLER is a daughter of the late W. R. MILLER of Tipton County.
Mr. Claude McCLISH and Miss Richie DUKE, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. M. DUKE of Rein were married Wednesday afternoon at the circuit parsonage by Rev. R. M. KING in this city.
Mrs. Addie ZELMER is the guest of her sister, Mrs. L. C. GILLESPIE.
Miss Nellie TALIAFERRO has returned from a visit to her sister, Mrs. McDade JONES of St. Louis.
Mrs. Dr. J. W. HARRIS of Memphis and Mrs. E. A. WINFIELD of Alamo visited their sister, Mrs. E. S. READ.
Mrs. FARRAR and her little children, of Russellville, Ky., are visiting her parents, Judge and Mrs. BOND.
Mrs. E. P. TURNER, who lives with her daughter, Mrs. L. F. CATRON, in Somerville is visiting with relatives in Haywood County.
Mr. W. H. TURNER of Marion, Ark., made a visit to friends and relatives in Haywood County and returned by way of Somerville to visit his sister, Mrs. L. F. CATRON.
