I love thee stronger today than ever

I hope you will write me if you have any chance to send to the letter to me and let know how you are getting along a many the Rebels if you write to me send the letter Robert Jepson Regiment and Captain Cineys [sic] Company

When this you see Remember me allthoug [sic] many miles apart we may be

Your loveing [sic] friend

Samuel L. Moore

To Nannie J. McCullough

Samuel Moore was born in January, 1842, and Nancy was born in March, 1841, according to the 1900 Census, where they were enumerated at White Horn in Hawkins County. The couple married 2 June 1866 in Hawkins County. Samuel died 22 January 1926 in White Horn.
