I am looking for any information about my grandfather, Henry Lawson, and his family.  Henry was born in Rogersville in 1898 to Wheeler Lawson and Ann (?).  Wheeler was married multiple times.  Henry’s only full sibling was Susan Lawson, who became Susan Cobb.  She had twins, Chistopher and Christine Cobb.  Henry is believed to have enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1917 in Hawkins County.  After the war, he moved to Big Stone Virginia, and married Nona Paxton.

I am looking for William Henderson (b 1807) and his wife, Jane (B, 1810, I don’t know here maiden name). They were listed in the 1860 Jefferson Co Census. In 1850, they were in Hawkins Co with their daughter, Barshaba (my gggranny). There is a will for a William Henderson of Jefferson, dated 1854. I am not sure of the connection, but thought it could be William’s father. I would like to find out more about this couple, and also Jane’s maiden name.

Am researching WILLIAM FLETCHER who married Elizabeth Shelly.  Would like to prove that he is the same William listed in THOMAS FLETCHER’s  will as one of nine children.  Also looking for CHARLES P.or B. TALLEY.  I know he gave the land for the Talley’s Methodist Church in Russellville.  He was married to ELIZABETH ROBERTSON, daughter of RICHARD ROBERTSON.  I am almost certain that he is related to the Talleys that lived in Cocke County too.  There are too many family names that are used by both families.  Also Benoni Talley and Charles Talley often witnessed wills and deeds together.  Please send me any info you might have about either of these families.  Any help is greatly appreciated. Searching for info on my great-great-great-grandparents, Montgomery and Martha WOODS.  Montgomery born in TN circa 1805, Martha (former name not known) born in VA circa 1813.  They lived in District 10, Hawkins Co., TN in 1850 with their children: Susan, (my g-g-grandmother), 1838; Sarah, 1840; George, 1842; Martha, 1846; and Kitturah, 1848.  On the 1850 census Montgomery WOODS is listed as being a farmer.  Montgomery’s daughter, Susan, married Isaiah GAMMONS, (born VA circa 1837) in Hawkins Co., TN in 1862.  Isaiah, died about 1879 near Knoxville, TN.  Susan then moved to AR with her family: Margaret, 1863; James H., 1872; Mary Etta, (my g-grandmother)1874; and Joseph, 1877.  Any info on any of these persons will be greatly appreciated.  Especially want to know who Montgomery’s parents were, etc., and Martha’s former name, etc.

RICE Need the land records of Benjamin, Isaac, John, and Moses Rice who were in Hawkins County, TN between 1790 and 1806. Isaac Rice Sr. was said to have been married to Marjorie Wallen/Walling, daughter of Elisha and Mary (Blevins) Wallen/Walling.  His daughter Sally Rice was married to Little Harp in 1797, then married either a Matlock or Walker after he was killed.  Isaac and John Rice settled in Roane County, TN by 1806.  Do not know where Benjamin and Moses went.
