This listing was submitted by a person named Teresa in 1998. She wrote, “This is a partial list of the families in Bussell Cemetery, Stanley Valley Rd, Hawkins Co, TN. These are my family, and I have been to this place — have it on video tape. This cemetery is well kept with a chain link fence. Sits high on a mountain side over looking the valley. It is just breath taking the vista one sees from this place. There are a few trees within its boundaries but is mostly mowed clean plots. Most of the stones are readable. Others are not, and that info comes from my the Bible of my great-grandmother, Lucinda Herron Anderson. The Anderson, Horton, Jeter and Herron families take up about half the plots. These four families intermarried and were neighbors as well. Thus the reason for their burial in this area. The others are Bussell family. I do not have those transcribed at this time.”
