A tri-weekly mail route is to be established between Saulsbury, Tenn and Ripley, Miss. A mail route from Savannah on the Tennessee River to Memphis, passing through Purdy, Bolivar, and Somerville, would be of great advantage to the entire section of country through which it would pass. If the Postmaster General only knew the solid, conservative strength of the southern tier of counties of the Western District of Tennessee, he would wake up to the importance of the occasion of re-opening this old mail route immediately.
