State of Tennessee
Henderson County
April Term 1831
The undersigned grand Jurors of Henderson county empanelled during the April Term of said Court, have witnessed with peculiar pleasure the manners in which the honorable JOSHUA HASKELL, Judge of said Court, has discharged his official duties, and the affable manner he has evinced in private walks, and cannot omit to express the pleasure they feel in giving their entire approbation of his conduct, both as a public and private man; and their unshaken confidence in his judicial integrity.

From JACKSON GAZETTE, July 9, 1825
By virtue of a writ of venditioni exponas, to be directed from the Court Chancery at Rogersville I will expose to public sale, for cash, at the Court-House in the town of Lexington, on the 6th day of August next, all the right, title, claim and interest that ELISHA WALLEN, deceased (and in the hands of) JOHN WALLEN, WILLIAM WALLEN, ELISHA WALLEN, MARY SIMS, widow of JOHN SIMS deceased, MOSES DAVIS and WINNY, his wife, BENNET MANESS and AGNESS, his wife, LUCY WILLIAMS, widow of JOSEPH WILLIAMS, deceased, CATHARINE WALLEN and JUDITH WALLEN, heirs and representatives of said ELISHA WALLEN deceased, have in and to Two Hundred Acres of LAND, lying on Cane Creek, 5th range and 8th section, number of entry 1474-taken to satisfy the cost of a suit in said Court, JAMES BERRY against said ELISHA WALLEN's heirs. Sale within the hours prescribed by law.
